What are you thankful for? And why it is that this is the only time of year we think about what we are thankful for? To be honest, this stopped with me last year. I find something everyday to be thankful and grateful for. My biggest “thank-you” is life.
Life is too short and precious to be taken for granted, and that stopped with me last year. You know my story, and why I made all of these life changes. I can not emphasis enough, LIVE YOUR LIFE! I will not be on my death-bed saying,”I wish I had done…” I am seeing to it my, “I wish I had of” are “I’m glad I did!” Trust me, 20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did do.
”And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years”.
–Abraham Lincoln
A great quote by an even greater man. We are all so busy running around with this and that, that we forget to slow down and enjoy the little things. Tell me, when you hear a baby laugh, do you not laugh yourself? I know I do. It’s the little things that count. In the end you will realize they were really the big things.
A couple of years ago I bought a tablet and in it I wrote down five things I was thankful for each day. I have to admit, some days it was rather difficult to find five things and some days I skipped all together, because I couldn’t find anything. Not anymore! I can look at the pages in that tablet and tell you exactly what was going on in my life at the time. In the journal I keep today, I start out by writing one thing that makes me smile. Try doing that for 365 days without repeating yourself. It’s harder than you think.
We are all thankful for our families, our healthy children, our jobs, blah, blah, blah but, what are you TRULY thankful for? Think about it. I am TRULY thankful for my LIFE!
This is the way I live my life…
HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y’ALL!
This is my journey…
