Our bodies are amazing!

I recently went through a bout of Vertigo. That stuff will make your world spin! Literally! It is caused by an inner ear infection or a “crystal” that has become dislodged in the ear. Friday I could not move my head without getting sick. It’s amazing that your inner ear controls your equal Librium. Who would have thought!

Here are some interesting facts I bet you didn’t know about our bodies.

You can’t tickle yourself. Go ahead, try.

Your feet contain 25% of all of our bones. 52 in all.

You are taller first thing in the morning. By the end of the day we are 1 cm shorter.

Our brain generates the same amount of energy as a small light bulb, even when sleeping.

On average, we lose between 60 – 100 strands of hair a day.

The acid in your stomach is strong enough to dissolve razorblades

A woman’s heart beats faster than a mans, and we blink twice as much also.

We have as many hairs per square inch on our body as a chimpanzee.

Your left lung is smaller than your right to make room for your heart.

Your nose and ears never stop growing. Your eyes are the same size from birth.

Your body has enough iron to make a 3” nail.

The tooth is the only body part that can’t heal itself.

Our bodies produce enough heat in 30 minutes to boil a half gallon of water.

If you ask me, that is pretty amazing stuff! Did you know we can live without a lot of our organs? We wouldn’t feel too good but, we could live. Our bodies are capable of healing themselves, so it just makes sense to fill it with good, whole, natural foods don’t ya think?

  1. Awesome!…Thanks for sharing!

  2. so tell me how can anyone – ANYONE – not realize that it took Divine Creation to make these amazing human bodies… Big Bang – my foot… every freaking bone in them… GOD did an awesome job!!!

  3. Been there….it’s worse at our age apparently…I work with a woman who has the same trouble, and she’s just a few years older. When I worked at a pediatric clinic, I knew basically what was wrong, but they insisted I go to a minor er clinic, who sent me to a regular er, who did an MRI to tell me I had vertigo. My thoughts were, “No sh**?” All that on my insurance to tell me what I already knew. All I had to do is go home and go to sleep for awhile. Of course, my BP was skyrocketing, but that happens every time!!! Ah, the joys of medical issues!
