Get to the point…

I am the kind of person that is short and to the point. I don’t elaborate, and my sentences are usually incomplete. I have occasionally had to use a grammar check to get my terminology right, and some of the previous posts were a struggle. Expect this post to be short. This is how I think and usually write.

When I had television and would see, not watch shows like American Idol I did enjoy the first couple of weeks. I loved the auditions and the fact some of the people actually thought they could sing. You will never see me audition. I know I can not sing. It would not surprise me if some of the people were paid to make an idiot of themselves. As the contestants were whittled down, and Fox had to fill the time a lot of BS was added. Get to the point! I do not know about you but, I do not want to know how they had to pose for a certain picture. Just sing, please.

I have an awfully rude habit of cutting people off when they are talking to me. Especially to my clients, and I know I do this but can’t stop myself. They will TRY to describe something to me, and most of what they are telling me is irrelevant to what they want to have done. Get to the point. I will have an idea in my head of what needs to happen, and I will cut them off or walk away to get a certain fabric. I’m not intentionally trying to be rude; I’m just getting to the point. My clients know how I work and appreciate the fact I do not waste time. New clients that come in probably perceive me as a rude you know what. I certainly need to work on this because I am getting worse in my old age.

If we were only given so many words in our lifetime there are a couple of people I know that would be out of words, and they are only in their 50’s. I on the other hand, would have an abundance to share with many.

This is my journey…

Hemingway’s style was short and to the point…you’re in good company…don’t change it.

  2. That’s a good habit and save lot of energy which you can spend on something useful and better. By the way, I like your spirit of understanding yourself and admitting your negative attributes more openly. I wish you all the best for your personal development journey.
